Producing unique and terroir-driven spirits from Southern Louisiana to the world

We draw inspiration from the historic cocktail and trade traditions of New Orleans to bring the modern connoisseur the finest examples of these essential liquors

Our production facility uses a custom-built hybrid pot-still for our distillations inspired and fabricated by our owner distiller’s time working in the maritime industry. By sublimating the benefits of both a pot and coffey still process we achieve a balance of purity and flavor unique to our process.

White Rum

Our flagship product: Crafted from 100% Louisiana-Grown sugarcane molasses and inspired by the French and English Carribean rums that poured into our gulf port and gained global recognition in style and quality. Walking the line between the profile of a rhum agricole and a rich Jamaican pot rum, Borasso White Rum evokes these Carribbean and colonial-era production styles  to produce a unique expression of Louisiana terroir. This is a  zero-additive rum with no added sugar, containing only three ingredients: Louisiana spring water, cane molasses sourced from nearby producers in Paincourtville, and heritage yeast. No temperature control is used during fermentation as the ambient New Orleans climate, particularly during its famed hot and swampy months, produces a robust and complex rum with a balance of sippable light cane grass notes and that equatorial funkiness that shines through in tiki and other intricately mixed cocktails.

Southern Louisiana Tree Gin

While maintaining a flavor profile within the traditional field of the London Dry style, this truly endemic gin is aromatized with locally  harvested ingredients and produced in small-batches from our single pot still during the short  seasons when these arboreal botanicals bud and bloom. The style is crafted for mixing with earthy, floral and woody aromatics capable of evoking the bayous, cypress hollows and wetlands of our home. A downy nose of magnolia blossom is kept structured with notes of cypress bud and long leaf  pine needles to complement the traditional juniper, root and baking spice flavors of the famed spirit that travels the world.

Southeast Asian Gin

This exotic gin was created in honor of the populations and cultures that have immigrated to the Crescent City, bringing  with them alluring additions to the already kaliedescopic gumbo-pot that is New Orleans gastronomy. On the nose, notes  of makrut lime, citrusy shiso leaf and szechuan peppercorn drift above savoury star anise, ginger and lemongrass to create a complex and delicate gin while not overpowering the  subtle juniper berry backbone that allows it easy companionship with the common flavor profiles of classic gin cocktails. A perfect pairing or aperitif addition to meals that draw on Asian flavors, this gin brings together culture and context as only cocktailing can do.

Makrut Lime Spirit

From an accidental discovery during the creation of our Southeast Asian Gin, we created a pure Makrut Lime liquor from a base of extremely clean columnal still grain spirit to be used as mixer for highballs and richly flavored cocktails. Makrut lime (sometimes called “kefir”)  arrived during the height of New Orleans’ significance as a global port and entered into the lexicon of Creole chefs as well as the Vietnamese, Filipino and Laotian populations that found home in the gulf south. The botanicals we source are imported and maintain a tremendous freshness that instantly evokes the tropical tradewinds.

Fog White Absinthe

A traditional Swiss-style alpine herbal spirit blended with spring water for the perfectly loached dilution. Drawing on the heritage of New Orleans cocktail and bar culture, and its historic roots as a continental European outpost, Fog White Absinthe gives drinkers an elevated introduction to this classic spirit. Our recipe was crafted by local talent here in New Orleans, drawing on historic recipes in the French-Swiss Blanche style. Unlike the Green style associated with the heavy bitterness of significant Grand Wormwood, traditional white absinthe has a softer anise and aromatic herb profile similar to some Mediterranean liqueurs meant to quench thirst while softening the stomach, easing digestion and being a perfect aperitif or accompaniment to hors d'oeuvre and light fare. It contains essences of grand wormwood, fennel, anise, hyssop, coriander, veronica, angelica, chamomile and blue vervain.

Borasso Vodka

Clean and classic, our vodka is pure grain and only mixed with distilled Louisiana spring water to produce a complementary blank-slate to our other flavorful offerings. It is bottled at the ideal ABV for easy enjoyment in our facility in the 9th Ward of New Orleans.
